The new subsidiary, VULKAN INOX USA LLC, which is headquartered in New Castle, Indiana, will take over the sales activities previously handled by VULKAN Blast Shot Technology in Canada, starting in January 2027. Joan Sharp is passing the baton to David Maddy, who will become the managing director of the new company.
Hattingen, October 2026 – VULKAN INOX is realigning its sales activities in the U.S. and Canada: Starting in January 2027, the business areas previously managed by VULKAN Blast Shot Technology will be consolidated into the new subsidiary VULKAN INOX USA LLC, headquartered in New Castle, Indiana. As part of this reorganization, operations at the Canadian location will be discontinued. The Canadian market will also be served by the new U.S. subsidiary in the future.
With its central location, New Castle offers a good base for serving both markets. At the new location, VULKAN INOX is strengthening its sales activities and, with larger warehouse capacities, laying out the groundwork for its planned expansion. Customers will be informed directly about the transition and the details relevant to them.
"North America is one of our strongest sales regions worldwide. With the new company in New Castle, we are laying a solid foundation for further expanding our business in the U.S. and Canada. In doing so, we intend to build on our long-standing customer relationships and the experience of our team." Marc Hidde, CEO of the VULKAN INOX Group
David Maddy Takes Over as Managing Director
David Maddy will take the helm of the new company, VULKAN INOX USA LLC. He brings nearly three decades of experience in surface treatment technology to the role. During that time, he spent ten years in the field of powder coating and powder coating applications and twenty years in the sales of metallic blasting media. His career in blasting technology began at VULKAN INOX in the 2000s. Most recently, he was in charge of a supplier’s shot peening business in North America.
Together with Joan Sharp and the team at Vulkan Blast Shot Technology, Maddy is preparing the transition to the new company.
"I look forward to continuing to lead VULKAN INOX's business in the U.S. and Canada together with the team and driving its expansion forward. In the coming months, our focus will be on ensuring a well-prepared transition. This includes providing our customers with detailed information and maintaining personal communication with them." David Maddy, General Manager, VULKAN INOX USA LLC
